How we work

Editorial standards

What we will and will not do, written down so that readers, sources and event organisers can hold us to it.

A trade publication is only useful if its readers can tell the difference between reporting and marketing. These are the rules we apply, and we would rather publish them than be asked.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the desk. No advertiser, sponsor, event organiser or commercial partner has any say in what we cover, how we cover it, or whether a piece runs.

We do not sell coverage. There is no rate card for an article, an interview, a mention or a favourable framing, and there will not be one. Commercial arrangements are described on our partner page and are visually and structurally separate from editorial.

Disclosure

We disclose, in the piece itself, anything a reasonable reader would want to know:

Free entry to an event is a normal condition of trade reporting. Concealing it is not.

Accuracy and sourcing

Corrections

Errors get corrected quickly and visibly. A correction appears on the piece itself, describing what was wrong and when it was fixed. We do not quietly edit a published claim out of existence.

To report an error, email editor@fintechsdispatch.com with the URL and the specific claim in question.

Sources

We honour agreements about attribution (on the record, on background, off the record) as they were made at the time. We do not identify a confidential source, and we do not accept information on terms we cannot keep.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools for research assistance, transcription and drafting support. We do not publish generated text as reporting. Every piece is read, checked and signed off by a named human editor who takes responsibility for it, and any fact that reaches the page has been verified against a source a person has seen. We do not use AI to generate quotes, sources, figures or images presented as real.

Complaints

Complaints about our reporting go to editor@fintechsdispatch.com and receive a substantive reply. If a complaint is upheld, the outcome is published on the piece.
