About FintechsDispatch
An independent trade publication covering payments, banking infrastructure and the technology underneath financial services.
FintechsDispatch reports on the infrastructure layer of financial services: the schemes, ledgers, sponsors, controls and standards that determine whether money actually moves. We write for the people who operate that layer rather than for a general audience, which means we assume the reader knows what an acquirer is and would rather read about the exception handling.
We publish explanatory reporting, analysis, and coverage of the conferences where the industry's operators, supervisors and vendors meet.
What makes us useful
We report on mechanisms, not announcements. A press release says a partnership exists. We are interested in which entity holds the funds, who performs the checks, and what happens when the partnership ends.
We are independent. No investor, sponsor or event organiser has a say in what runs. Our editorial standards set out the disclosure rules we apply to ourselves, including for conference access.
We show our work. Numbers are sourced, analysis is labelled as analysis, and corrections are published on the piece.
